Aditya Cultural Social & Educational Trust (Regd.) is a family trust, formed in the year 2001 to promote quality education in Bangalore, Karnataka State, housed at No.299, 14th Main Road, R.M.V. Extension, Bangalore - 560080., thereby in the year 2004 the Trust started a Teachers College titled Aditya Teachers' College (D.Ed.) at No. 26/3, Maheswari Temple Road, 8th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore - 560003, after obtaining No-objection Certivicate from the Government of Karnataka and recognition to start D.Ed. Course from N.C.T.E. Bangalore, with a N.C.T.E. code No. APS 01660.
Objectives
- To launch an Educational initiative that will groom a new generation of students to become teachers of tommorow.
- To make the teacher college a centre of Excellence.
- To provide perceptive teaching that awakens the creative and leadership, dormant in every individual.
- To provide ample opportunity for every student to excel in a whole range of extra curricular activities.
The D.Ed. Program aims to train teachers for the schools in the government/private sector in India and abroad. The curriculum and evaluation systems adopted by the college are similar to those used in the typical Colleges of Education. Emphasis is given to the development of domain knowledge and teaching skills. They take foundational and experiential coursework to enable them to meet the students with linguistic, cultural, learning and behavioral diversity.
